Can I talk to You, my Lord,
Let my voice, please, be heard
Can I seek You, my Lord,
till my quest comes to rest.
In wisdom you made me,
You filled me with love.
Gave me strength to fly high
but I made you sigh.
I wanted to soar and roar like a beast
I soared and I roared, care at the least
my words became noise and steps became loose
vague view of the world, made me amuse.
I stumbled, I fell. I lost all my strength
Looked up for my help but found none at length
Wanting to move on, I failed to look back
dragged myself afar, until I broke my back.
Dark was so deep
Life was at steep
crippled by fear,
I forgot you my Dear.
I wanted an end to this life without friend
I tried it in vain to wake up again.
In anguish I cried, tireless I tried
then You sent me Light, that restored my sight.
Now I can see a purpose in me
You were MAD enough to Make A Difference in me
Rest of my days, I rest but in You
Rejoice in the truth that ’My life is n You’
Cause me to come to Your loving home
Don’t let me run from your loving Son
I love to sing a love song to Him
Shining in Him, let my light never dim.
